Software Engineer, Payments

Role Description

Aiwyn is hiring a senior software engineer to join the team that owns our payments platform, which processes payments at scale and serves as the backbone for how modern firms get paid end to end.

Payments is one of the most strategic pieces of the Aiwyn platform, enabling firms to manage the full payment lifecycle:

• Invoicing
• Collections
• Payment methods
• Schedules and installments
• Reconciliation
• Visibility for firms and clients

As a senior engineer, you will:

• Build the systems that move money reliably.
• Own the services, infrastructure, and confidence metrics that allow payments to grow at speed without sacrificing accuracy or trust.
• Work closely with domain experts to understand invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Build and extend APIs for Aiwyn, firms, and partners.
• Take projects from spec to ship to scale, owning the work end to end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on technical depth in domains where correctness matters.
• Experience with fintech and payments.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge engineering and a non-engineering domain.
• AI-native fluency.
• Comfortable across the stack (backend, frontend, or infrastructure).
• Bonus: deeper fintech and/or payments experience.

Requirements

• Track record of taking full ownership of projects.
• Experience shipping real systems where edge cases and accuracy were critical.
• Direct work on payment systems, money movement, or collections.
• Ability to collaborate with non-engineering experts and build shared language.
