We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a luxury residential construction and general contracting team in New York, New York. This onsite contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who excels at high-volume invoice entry, maintains strong accuracy, and can provide immediate support to a busy accounting department. The person in this role will help improve invoice processing timeliness, keep records organized, and contribute to day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of vendor invoices in Sage Intacct with a strong focus on speed and accuracy.
• Examine invoices for completeness, coding details, and supporting information before entering them into the system.
• Assist the accounting team in reducing a backlog of outstanding invoice records and keeping workflows current.
• Perform routine accounts payable and accounting-related data entry to support daily department needs.
• Maintain organized and accurate invoice documentation to ensure records are up to date and easy to retrieve.
• Provide additional administrative accounting support as priorities shift across the team.
• Contribute to ongoing invoice processing efforts following the organization’s transition from Sage 300 to Sage Intacct.• At least 1 year of experience in accounting support, invoice entry, or a similar data-focused role.
• Hands-on experience using Sage Intacct is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of invoice processing with consistent attention to detail.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Comfort working onsite in New York, New York, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and handle repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality.
• Previous exposure to construction accounting is helpful but not required.
