Job Title: Batch Operator Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Batch Operator to prepare beverage batches according to established recipes, formulas, and production schedules. This role requires precision in weighing, measuring, and adding ingredients to mixing systems and batch tanks, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverage batches according to established recipes, formulas, and production schedules.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and add ingredients to mixing systems and batch tanks.
• Verify ingredient lot numbers and quantities before use.
• Monitor mixing processes to ensure proper blend consistency and product specifications.
• Conduct quality checks, including Brix, pH, flavor, and other required measurements.
• Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and quality documentation.
• Transfer completed batches to production lines while following established procedures.
• Perform sanitation and cleaning activities on tanks, mixers, pumps, hoses, and related equipment.
• Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety, and HACCP requirements.
• Monitor ingredient inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist with troubleshooting process issues and equipment concerns.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in achieving production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and understand formulas, batch sheets, and production instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and unit conversions.
• Ability to accurately document production information.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environments is ideal but not necessary.
• Computer literacy and comfort with record software.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, mostly automated facility that is in the process of receiving a revamped HVAC system. The work environment includes exposure to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and food-processing chemicals. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and be comfortable with physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, and climbing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
