Project Cost Accountant

Are you an experienced construction accounting pro who loves partnerning directly with operations & project managers? We’re hiring a Project Accountant / Job Cost Accountant in Jacksonville, FL, to keep our construction projects running smoothly and profitably from kickoff to closeout. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, know your way around job costing and AIA billing, have experience with posting payments and want a high-visibility role where your work directly impacts project success, we’d love to have you on our team!

salary: $68,000 - $75,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Managing project/job cost accounting from setup through closeout
• Monitoring budgets, WIP schedules, cost-to-complete, and profitability
• Leading AIA/progress billing and pay application processes
• Managing accounts receivable, collections, and cash applications
• Supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Coordinating lien waivers, notices to owners, and compliance documentation
• Partnering closely with Project Managers and company leadership
• Helping improve processes and financial visibility across projects

• Notice to Owner (1 year of experience is required)
• Lien Waiver (1 year of experience is required)
• Commercial Collections (1 year of experience is required)
• Cash Applications (1 year of experience is required)
• WIP Schedules (1 year of experience is required)
• Month-End Close (1 year of experience is preferred)
• Account Reconciliation (1 year of experience is preferred)
• SAGE (1 year of experience is preferred)
