Environmental Manager

The Environmental Manager works within the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's Northwest Regional Office, conducting air quality compliance inspections, investigating pollution complaints, and enforcing state and federal environmental regulations across a 12-county region in northwest Indiana. The role involves independent work as an environmental compliance and enforcement specialist, including facility inspections, permit reviews, technical guidance to regulated entities, and serving as an expert witness in enforcement proceedings. Key qualifications At least five years of environmental or environmental public health experience Broad knowledge of environmental protection principles, chemistry, biology, hydrology, and environmental sciences Ability to conduct facility inspections, investigations, and interpret technical findings Excellent research and writing skills for regulatory reports and documentation Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and interpret legal terminology Valid Indiana driver's license required #J-18808-Ljbffr
