Accounting & Customer Service Representative

Location: 609 S Grant St, Amarillo, TX 79101
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

H & R Foods , a Division of PAK Quality Foods , is seeking an Accounting & Customer Service Representative to support accounting, customer service, and daily office operations. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers, assisting with account inquiries, order-related issues, billing questions, payment processing, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate service.

• Customer Service

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers via phone and email.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, deliveries, invoices, payments, credits, and account status.
  • Resolve customer issues by coordinating with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Accounting.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships through professional and timely communication.
  • Process customer requests and maintain accurate customer records.

• Accounting Support

  • Process customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions, while maintaining accurate customer account records.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, including payment posting, customer account reconciliation, and collections support.
  • Support accounts payable processing, including invoice entry, matching, and verification.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

• Administrative Support

  • Coordinate office supplies and administrative support as needed.
  • Provide backup support to accounting and customer service team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Current college students pursuing a related degree are encouraged to apply.

• 2+ years of accounting, customer service, or office support experience preferred.

• Experience with invoices, billing, payments, AP, AR, bookkeeping, or customer accounts is a plus.

• Experience in food distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus.

• Working knowledge of accounting principles.

• Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills, including the ability to accurately count, calculate, and process customer payments.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Professional phone, email, and customer service communication skills.

• Dependable, professional, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
