Sr. Principal Automation & Pharmaceutical Packaging Engineer

PCI Pharma Services seeks a Senior Principal Automation and Pharmaceutical Packaging Engineer to lead the design and development of high-speed automated packaging equipment and manufacturing systems. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, capital budget management, technical documentation, and oversight of equipment installation and validation in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of high-speed automated packaging equipment and integrated manufacturing systems
Collaborate with management, production, and maintenance teams to optimize process improvements and workflow design
Oversee conceptual development, scheduling, and implementation of new and modified production projects
Plan installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and complex equipment
Manage capital budget activities, project documentation, and technical specifications including FAT, SAT, and URS

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
10+ years progressive engineering experience with automated manufacturing equipment design and implementation
Extensive experience with high-speed pharmaceutical packaging, inspection systems, or regulated manufacturing equipment
Strong expertise in mechanical machine design, robotics, servo systems, motion control, and automation
Advanced proficiency with computer systems and CAD/SolidWorks software
Supervisory experience and ability to manage cross-functional teams
Travel capability

Compensation: $122,000–$137,250 base plus 10% annual performance bonus eligibility
