See more about our benefits and why DG is a great place to work below.Join our team as a Facilities Custodian - also known as a Cleaning Specialist, Janitorial Specialist - and take pride in keeping our facility spotless, safe, and welcoming. In this hands-on role, you'll clean and maintain all areas of our facility - from restrooms and offices to lobbies and production floors - ensuring each space is stocked, organized, and running smoothly. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help create a polished, professional environment for employees and guests alike.Key Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, lobbies, conference rooms, and other assigned areas, ensuring they are fully stocked with necessary suppliesProvide "white glove" service to maintain a polished and professional environment across all common and shared spacesEmpty trash and recycling receptacles daily and transport waste to designated disposal areasMaintain cleanliness of building exteriors, especially around entrances, walkways, and employee gathering areasComplete routine cleaning and maintenance request tickets in a timely and thorough mannerPerform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, restocking consumables, and completing minor repairs as neededAssist in preventative maintenance efforts and promptly report any facility issues, damages, or safety hazards to the Facility Engineer ManagerInteract professionally with employees across all departments and respond to facility-related needs with a customer service-oriented approachFollow all company safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)Complete other tasks as assigned by management to support the facility's overall cleanliness and functionalityRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrior experience performing routine cleaning and light maintenance in professional or multi-use facilities (e.g., office buildings, commercial spaces, or similar environments)Minimum of 2 years of experience in a janitorial, custodial, or building maintenance roleBasic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practicesAbility to operate standard cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and buffersStrong attention to detail and the ability to work independentlyMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periodsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAdditional tasks assigned by managementPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a manufacturing, office, commercial building, or industrial facilityFamiliarity with safety data sheets (SDS) and OSHA safety protocolsStrong customer service skills and experience interacting with employees in a professional settingPre-Employment Requirements:All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen, in accordance with company policy and applicable law.Why You'll Love Working Here:We are a multi-generational team with members representing a diversity of cultures, educational backgrounds, experience levels and ideas all'making it happen' from one location in beautiful, coastal South Florida.
