Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience to perform a broad range of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.

Details

• Interventional Radiology department performing special procedures
• 4x9 hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required on a weeknight and weekend rotation
• May float between departments, units, and facilities as needed to meet facility needs
• EPIC charting system required
• Uses GE Innova IGS imaging equipment, PACS, and ultrasound

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent IR experience required, with no employment gaps greater than 90 days in the past year
• BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(VI) certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Both Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license must be in hand at time of consideration due to potential floating requirements
• Experience with angioplasty, aortography, embolization, stent placements, biopsies, and drainage procedures required
• Experience with vascular access including PICC lines, ports, and central venous catheters
• Proficiency in sterile technique, equipment setup, room circulating, and scrubbing for procedures
• Experience with vascular closure systems preferred
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures including angiography, embolization, nephrostomy, biliary drainage, and stent placements
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, maintaining sterile fields, patient monitoring, and inventory/supply management
• Maintain strict infection control and isolation precaution standards
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius of the facility are not accepted
• Returning BJC/Saint Luke's staff must observe an 18-month tenure policy with a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
