Bus Aide
School year: 2025-2026 duration: 10 months (student attendance days only) pay: $16.50/hr hours: before and after school
our bus aides are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students while they are being transported to and from school or school-related activities. key responsibilities include:
- assisting students as they board and exit the bus, especially those with disabilities or special needs
- ensuring that students remain seated and follow bus rules during transit
- providing support during emergencies or behavioral incidents
- communicating effectively with the bus driver and school staff regarding student needs or concerns
- helping to secure students using safety restraints, car seats, or wheelchairs as required
