About the Role:

Children's Choice After Care Inc in Batavia, IL is looking for a passionate and energetic After School Care Assistant to join our team! Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities during after school hours

Assist with homework help and academic support for enrolled students

Plan and facilitate recreational, creative, and educational activities

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom or activity space

Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and program staff

Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies

Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the program

Requirements:

Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, education, or recreational setting

Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with kids

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to pass a background check as required by Illinois childcare regulations

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Reliable, punctual, and able to work afternoon/early evening hours consistently

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or child development a plus
