Forklift Operator

Job Overview:

Our organization is seeking a Forklift Operator to support warehouse and production operations. The candidate will be responsible for operating material handling equipment safely, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with general warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities:

Operate the forklift in a professional, accident-free manner and maintain precise forklift inspection logs.
Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift.
Track the location of goods continuously during material handling using the WMS, ensuring accurate data entry.
Perform additional manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, including sampling, inventory, and cleaning.
Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages during seed delivery and return seasons.
Maintain safety standards and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
Operate the forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials within the warehouse area.
Follow regulatory requirements.
Utilize technology such as PCs and scanners to complete job tasks.

Preferred Experience:

1+ years of forklift experience.
1+ years of warehouse experience.
Prior forklift certification is preferred.

Skills:

Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.
Ability to read scales.
Ability to multitask and maintain strong attention to detail.
Alertness and awareness to drive the forklift safely.
Ability to communicate and work independently or within a team.
Ability to maneuver a forklift in tight or confined spaces.

Candidate Profile:

Reliable transportation to the work site and ability to arrive as instructed.
Maintain enthusiasm, a positive attitude, honesty, and a respectful demeanor toward others.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

Ability to operate a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
Ability to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forklift.
