Overview:
Our Avon, CT law firm is seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Administrative Assistant to join our office in Avon, Connecticut.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a small office environment, takes pride in being detail-oriented, and is comfortable handling a variety of administrative tasks throughout the day. The right candidate will be dependable, personable, able to follow instructions, and willing to learn the systems and procedures used in a busy law office.
Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will assist with day-to-day office operations, including:
- Answering phones and directing calls appropriately
- Greeting visitors and maintaining a professional front-office environment
- Opening, sorting, scanning, and distributing mail
- Saving, organizing, and maintaining electronic documents
- Assisting with data entry and file updates
- Preparing and sending routine correspondence
- Supporting attorneys and staff with administrative projects
- Performing other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort using computers, email, and basic office software
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a small team
Prior experience in a law office is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
