Data Center Rack Stack Technician

Our client in Plano, TX is seeking a Data Center Rack Stack Technician to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience independently building and installing server racks in a data center environment. The ideal candidate has experience working from rack elevation and cabling diagrams, performing structured cabling, and completing rack installations with minimal supervision. Job Title: Data Center Rack Stack Technician Location: Plano, TX Pay Rate: $23.00-$27.00/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Responsibilities Perform rack and stack of servers, switches, routers, and other IT equipment in a data center environment. Uncrate, stage, mount, and install servers into racks while following rack elevation diagrams and technical documentation. Install, terminate, route, dress, secure, and label fiber optic, Ethernet, and power cabling using established cable management standards. Install racks, cabinets, patch panels, power strips, and other supporting infrastructure. Read and interpret rack elevations, cabling diagrams, and work instructions to complete installations accurately. Perform site inspections, maintain installation documentation, and ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout each deployment. Qualifications Hands‑on experience independently performing rack and stack in a data center or structured cabling environment. Experience installing servers into racks and working with common data center hardware. Ability to read and follow rack elevation diagrams, cabling diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience installing, routing, labeling, and documenting fiber optic, Ethernet, and power cabling using industry‑standard cable management practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
