Global organizations and regulated industries trust RRD to reduce complexity and drive audience connections across the entire customer journey.The Sr. IT Support Specialist installs, modifies, maintains, enhances, troubleshoots and repairs all client computer equipment including desktop PCs, laptop PCs, printers, monitors and peripherals.Perform all daily, weekly, and monthly system maintenance utilizing necessary equipment and softwareMaintain stock of PCs, printers, peripherals and parts for all computer equipmentMaintain inventory records of equipment and hardware as well as maintenance records for each piece of equipmentTroubleshoot, diagnose and repair all computer equipmentIdentify failing/failed parts through instrumentation and softwareEnsure that all equipment is optimized for maximum performance through use of test equipment and softwareAct as an interface between users and outside support organizations for hardware and software maintenanceAnswer user inquiries in person and via telephone concerning system operationsInstall and upgrade computer equipment hardware and software as neededRecommends or performs actions to correct problems based on knowledge of systemEffectively escalates and documents all support calls for which resolution at hardware is not possibleConsistently models the highest levels of client service orientation and professionalism.Lead or participate in special projects as requestedReceive all computer equipment for organizationAct as Subject Matter Expert on one or more technologiesMaintain professional relationships with all members of IT departmentCandidate must have at least 2 years plus of corporate Help Desk/Hardware experienceBachelors Degree or equivalent work experienceCertifications: A+, HPThorough understanding and knowledge of PC components and their respective interface requirements2 years experience in PC repair and/or assemblyAbility to install and test new PC systemsProven computer hardware troubleshooting abilitySolid understanding of networks and their relation to end users; N+ certification preferredEffective communication skills with all skill level PC usersExcellent time management and interpersonal skillsAbility to make quick and clear decisionsAbility to meet deadlines while paying attention to detailsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionProven customer service skills in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgroundsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to use small hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers and moreThe salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $28.70 - $43.61 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
