Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Residential HVAC Journeyman to join our team. The HVAC Journeyman will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. This position requires a commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and components.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose problems and recommend cost-effective solutions to homeowners.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Adhere to all relevant codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with customers to explain services and provide expert advice.
• Stay current with industry advancements, techniques, and equipment.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and components.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.

Required Qualifications

• Valid HVAC Journeyman license/certification.
• EPA Section 608 Certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential HVAC service and installation.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications (e.g., NATE certification).
• Experience with smart home HVAC controls and energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with a range of residential HVAC brands, systems, and accessories.
• Strong documentation and electronic recordkeeping skills.

Salary

$27 - $45 (hourly)
