Assistant Store Manager

Position Overview Our store leadership teams are essential to our business with over 430 retail stores worldwide. As an Assistant Store Manager you will lead sales associates and supervisors to engage consumers and create memorable brand experiences. You will provide continuous training and coaching on products, technology, and selling skills, develop strategies to improve engagement, drive sales, and increase profitability, and support the store manager in maintaining an inclusive, productive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and associates on day‑to‑day operations to meet performance and operational standards. Create engaging consumer shopping experiences to expand the customer base. Ensure associates possess in‑depth knowledge of products and technology to serve consumer needs. Coach associates on selling skills that influence purchase decisions. Assist the store manager in interviewing, hiring, training, onboarding, and developing staff. Participate in action plans to address opportunities related to sales, operations, safety, and employee productivity. Create weekly store schedules and support labor and operating expense targets. Maintain inventory levels and accuracy through receiving, processing, replenishment, stockroom organization, and shrink control. Qualifications No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred). 5+ years’ experience in a similar position or specialization. Experience operating inventory and point of sale (POS) systems and other retail software. Experience driving consumer engagement, personalized service, and sales skills. Ability to use judgment to resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems. Effective communication skills to exchange ideas with leadership, associates, and consumers. Job Conditions Frequently active environment requiring constant movement; ability to lift or move items up to 40 lbs. May require use of specialized equipment, exposure to dust and noise, and occasional work in place. Must communicate clearly with others and work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally or in response to business trends.
