- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
- Create tailored therapy plans addressing immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognition, or swallowing functions.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects such as language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care approaches.
- Educate patients and families to maximize progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions occasionally to ensure comprehensive continuity of care throughout treatment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational compliance standards.
- Engage in ongoing education and peer review to remain updated with advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.
- Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification achieved within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatments for all age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing.
- Outstanding communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
