Position Details

• Create tailored therapy plans addressing immediate and long-term goals for communication, cognition, or swallowing functions.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects such as language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and families to maximize progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions occasionally to ensure comprehensive continuity of care throughout treatment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational compliance standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer review to remain updated with advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification achieved within the first month of employment.
