Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC or Irving, TX - Hybrid (3 days onsite mandatory)

Employment Type: 18 months (possible extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $61/hr - $65/hr

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to drive business outcomes through strong analysis and partnership with technology teams. This role involves translating business needs into clear, testable requirements and supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and cross-functional alignment for large-scale enterprise initiatives.
• Elicit, analyze, and document requirements, translating business objectives into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with engineering and architecture to evaluate solution options and define functional specifications.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to validate scope, resolve ambiguity, and manage tradeoffs.
• Ensure backlog quality and readiness by making sure stories are development-ready and testable.
• Support testing and implementation, including UAT planning, defect triage, and release validation.
• Incorporate compliance, privacy, data protection, and operational risk considerations into requirements.
• Use data and process analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Support change management through training, communications, and user documentation.
• Utilize GenAI tools where appropriate to accelerate requirements drafting and analysis.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis or Systems Consulting experience.
• 5+ years of experience with the SDLC, including requirements documentation, user story writing, and acceptance criteria.
• 3+ years of experience partnering with engineering teams on system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and backlog refinement using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• 2+ years of experience in testing support, including UAT planning and defect triage.
• 1+ years of experience using GenAI-enabled tools or equivalent for analysis and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, COO, or operations environments.
• Familiarity with controls, risk, and compliance considerations in solution delivery.
• Experience with SQL or a background as a Scrum Master.
• Exposure to process analysis and modeling.
• A working knowledge of data concepts such as data quality and reporting.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $61.00 to $65.00 per hour.
