What You Will Achieve In this position, you will support the production of high‑quality, purified, sterile collagen for both internal and external customers in a regulated environment under the direct supervision of a team leader or departmental supervisor. Responsibilities Perform protein extraction and purification, filtrations, dilutions, and chemical sterilizations following cGMPs. Conduct in‑process testing, including assays, titrations, and color‑indicator testing. Operate specialized equipment such as a continuous‑flow centrifuge. Clean and assemble glassware and equipment for sterilization. Complete production documentation promptly. Adhere to company safety policies, especially regarding chemical safety and proper lifting techniques. Assist with process optimization and scale‑up activities as needed. Provide support to Engineering and Facilities Departments for equipment calibration, validation, or repair. Maintain laboratory inventory supply. Prepare deviation reports when necessary. Qualifications B.S. or A.S. in a biological science or equivalent and 0–2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of quality systems regulations (cGMP) and clean‑room experience preferred but not required. Basic laboratory technique knowledge, including use of pipettes and balances. Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and have good dexterity. Capacity to work in cold‑room conditions (2–8°C). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures closely. Good written and verbal communication skills. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Physical Requirements Pass a pre‑employment physical and lift test. Work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods. Work in cold‑room conditions (2–8°C). Lifting up to 50 pounds. Compensation The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $24.04 per hour and reflects current market data for similarly‑sized life science companies and internal equity.
