Join us and our 18,000 colleagues now and together we will make the world a brighter place.The primary responsibility of this role is to perform product and process development in the film and sheet processing of the Specialty Films subdivision.Major Tasks & Responsibilities:Develop modified and new grades of TPU, polycarbonate, and film and sheet productsDevelop multi-layer and cast-on-carrier productsLead key development projectsDocument and report progress of the product development programsSupport projects that require capital investmentsIndependently interact with customers and internal commercial organization to thoroughly understand customer requirements in order to effectively contribute to new product development;Contribute to developing new applications for TPU filmsProvide technical service to Specialty Films TPU customersBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 4+ years of relevant professional experience; OR Master's degree in an engineering discipline with 2 years of relevant professional experience; OR Ph.D. degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline with 1+ year of relevant professional experiencePreferred Qualifications:Degree in chemical engineering or plastics engineeringSpecific experience with manufacturing or development of plastic films, including thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polycarbonate (PC), or similarSpecific familiarity with DOE software such as JMP or MinitabKnowledge and Skills:Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skillsStrong verbal, written communication and presentation skillsAbility to translate development activities into commercially viable technologies and productsDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence othersStrong computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Thorough understanding of statistical methods in experimental design (DOE)Salary range: $103,763 - $192,644This is a full time role that includes competitive pay, annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).Equal Employment Opportunity: Hiring and advancement are based on job-related requirements and on an individual's qualifications to perform a job.
