Position Overview:

Job Title: Alliance Clinic Dietitian or Nurse.

Position Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Pay Range: $30.07 hourly.

Position Goal:

The Alliance Clinic Dietitian or Nurse is responsible for conducting all aspects of the nutrition education component and process of assessing nutritional risks associated with the WIC & Maternal Child Health programs, in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to provide nutrition services to the target community.

Qualifications & Conditions of Employment:

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition. Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Must be a Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of Iowa or can obtain license by the Iowa Board of Dietetic Examiners within the first six months of employment.

OR

• Minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Iowa.

Conditions of Employment

• Must be able to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population of low-income individuals with possible language/cultural barriers.
• Complete Bloodborne Pathogen training within ten days of employment and updated annually.
• Complete Child Abuse Reporter training within six (6) months of employment and update every three (3) years.
• Completion of required continuing education hours to retain state licensure.
• TB testing at hire.
• Willing to work flexible hours including early evenings.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to use on the job.
• Valid car insurance.
