Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking to hire a full-time HR Coordinator. Reporting to the HR Generalist, this role helps ensure the smooth execution of daily HR activities and supports employee engagement efforts. 

Duty Location(s): Hybrid in North Charleston, SC 

Position Overview: Provide administrative and operational support across key human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and general HR compliance. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate job postings and manage applicant tracking systems. 
• Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process. 
• Assist in onboarding logistics: Drafting and sending offer letters, collecting documentation, setting up new hire orientations. 
• Employee Records & Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS): Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records. 
• Enter and update employee data in the HRIS system. 
• Track employee changes (e.g., promotions, terminations) and ensure documentation is complete. 
• Benefits & Payroll Support: Assist with open enrollment and benefits-related communications. 
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions about benefits and direct complex issues to the HR Generalist. 
• Support payroll preparation by collecting and reviewing timekeeping data and resolving discrepancies. 
• HR Operations & Compliance: Assist in maintaining HR policies and ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements. 
• Help prepare reports and audits for internal or external stakeholders. 
• Monitor and update labor law posters and required notices. 
• Employee Engagement & Culture: Help coordinate employee engagement activities (e.g., events, recognition programs). 
• Support internal communications regarding HR programs and initiatives. 

Required Qualifications : 

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communication, or related field preferred. 
• 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role. 
• Familiarity with HR systems and Microsoft Office (Sharepoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, Outlook). 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications : 

• Experience with Paylocity, Unanet, and/or Notion. 
• Knowledge of basic labor laws and HR practices. 

Starting pay = $47,000 - $55,000
