You'll partner directly with leadership on hiring, culture, and compliance as we scale across Virginia and the surrounding states, with the chance to shape how HR is done here, not just execute a playbook someone else wrote.Key Responsibilities:Own full-cycle recruitment — sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding — for a growing team across field and office rolesMaintain accurate, compliant employee records and ensure practices align with labor law and internal policySupport performance management, including appraisals and employee development programsServe as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR policy and employee relationsHelp build and protect a positive, inclusive workplace culture as the company scalesTrack employment legislation and HR best practices, and recommend changes to keep SES ahead of compliance requirementsRequired Qualifications and Competencies:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline3+ years of progressive HR experience; construction, skilled trades, or renewable energy background a plusSolid working knowledge of employment law, HR policy, and procedureStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with sound judgment handling confidential informationExcellent organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environmentA proactive, solutions-first mindset — comfortable working independently and as part of a teamGenuine interest in the mission: building the clean energy workforce of the SoutheastWhy SES:This isn't a maintenance role at a company standing still.
