Join Our Physician-Led Multispecialty Group

Become a valued member of our physician-led multispecialty group, comprising over 650 providers dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach in patient care. We are seeking an Oncology Hospitalist to oversee the management of inpatient oncology care at our regional medical center.

• Manage inpatient care for hematology and oncology patients, including acute management and consultations from referring physicians.
• Engage in traditional Internal Medicine practices with a specialized focus on hematology and oncology.
• Collaborate with primary oncologists to administer necessary chemotherapy and oversee patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Work closely with ambulatory medical oncologists within our Cancer Institute, which features multiple locations and telemedicine options across the region.
• Participate in weekly tumor boards to collaborate with fellowship-trained surgeons across various specialties.

Our dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit at the regional medical center is currently supported by another oncology hospitalist and two full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). You will benefit from:

• Comprehensive support from a full-service cancer center, including medical, radiation, and surgical oncology.
• Access to nurse navigators, social work support, genetic counseling, and nutritionists.
• Innovative programs such as lung cancer screening, a lung nodule clinic, and neuro-oncology services.
• Participation in over 100 clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium.
• Collaboration with primary care providers located throughout the Treasure Valley.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS).
• Completion of a Medical Oncology/Hematology fellowship is preferred but not mandatory.
• Board certification in Medical Oncology/Hematology is preferred.
• Fellowship training in onco-hospitalist is preferred.
• Ability to obtain Idaho medical licensure and privileges at the regional medical center and affiliated hospitals as necessary.
• Valid registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
