Assistant Printer OperatorFranklin, OHCompensation IncludesStarting Pay Rate of $20.83/hourAvailable Shift2nd: 3pm - 11pm3rd: 11pm - 7amOverviewThe Printer Helper supports press operations by preparing materials, mounting plates, mixing ink, cleaning components, and assisting the Press Operator and Shift Lead throughout production. This role ensures efficient press setup, consistent print quality, and smooth workflow during each job.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Shift Lead and Press Operator during make-ready and daily press operationsStage all materials, rolls, and ink required for upcoming jobsInspect, clean, and handle plates, sleeves, mandrels, and anilox rollsMount plates accurately using work orders, job jackets, print cards, and MylarMaintain organized plate storage and perform minor plate-mounter maintenanceMix and dispense ink to customer specifications and maintain proper pH/viscosityReplace ink totes/drums and complete all required SAP and dispenser documentationOperate the Flexo-Wash anilox cleaning unit and safely handle cleaning chemicalsReview end-of-roll samples for print quality and report issues immediatelyUnload, wrap, band, label, and store finished rolls; cut cores as neededOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDTeam-oriented with a positive, "can-do" attitudeBasic mechanical and math skills; able to pass print/math testAbility to work in hot environments and around inks/lubricantsPhysically capable of prolonged standing and full-range movement (bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, reaching)Meets vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, color, and depth perceptionAble to lift up to 75 lbs. and move drums up to 550 lbs. using approved equipmentCapable of loading/unloading sleeves, including heavier two-person liftsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication skillsBasic computer proficiencyAbility to read and understand EnglishFlexible schedule, including potential overtime, weekend work, or call-ins based on production needs#INDQSR
