Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: - Provides all respiratory modalities in all areas of the hospital. - Responsible for medication delivery and emergency response. - Assists with intubation and manages invasive and non-invasive ventilation. - Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary hygiene, hyperinflation therapy, and patient transport of critically ill patients with artificial airways. - Conducts home oxygen assessments and coordination. - Allows for the possibility of working every other weekend or more if willing. Description: The position requires a Respiratory Therapist capable of providing comprehensive respiratory care. Candidates will work on a 12-hour night shift, ensuring the delivery of care across inpatient settings. RTs are expected to assist with intubations and manage ventilator settings. The candidate will also perform arterial blood gas analysis and provide other necessary respiratory treatments. Experience in transporting critically ill patients is essential for this role. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required for all applicants. The position offers the flexibility of scheduling, with a commitment to weekend coverage as needed.
