HVAC Estimator

Michigan Mechanical Ventures is a fast-growing contractor in Southeast Michigan looking to add talented and driven individuals to our team. We are a Family-owned Plumbing/HVAC company focused primarily on commercial service and new construction looking for a full-time Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our project success by accurately calculating the costs of HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of HVAC systems and excellent analytical skills. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials needed. Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and budget. Maintain and update a database of material costs, labor rates, and historical project data. Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs. Present and review estimates with management and clients. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., AccuBid, FastDUCT, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. A relevant degree or certification is a plus. Why Join Us?
