This is a 2nd Shift role which includes an 8% shift premium.

In this position, you will provide support to the production floor of the Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) in a prominent and highly visible test engineering capacity. This role is ideal for someone seeking a challenging opportunity to enhance their technical skill set with a focus on testing highly sophisticated Array systems. You will leverage your expertise to develop, test, modify, and implement solutions through collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, while providing technical guidance for the testing and troubleshooting of complex Array systems. What You Will Do

• Support a fluid production environment in a test engineering role.

• Troubleshoot complex array level issues on the production floor and in the Near Field Range (NFR)

• Work from schematics and drawings to understand RF faults and troubleshoot utilizing common test equipment.

• Perform root cause analysis on systemic Array issues and flow back to feeder areas and/or suppliers to help in the troubleshooting of failed subassemblies.

• Analyze test data to identify potential issues using MATLAB

• Work diligently with union technicians on a daily basis throughout the test process.

• Interact daily with operations, quality, process/mechanical, and production control (PC) regarding most urgent immediate needs in test.

• Review system level test data for compliance toward specifications.

• Interact with maintenance/test department to keep test stations fully functional.

• Develop/update factory test procedures as needed.

• Overtime (paid) may be required on an as needed basis.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years’ prior relevant experience.

• (1) year of integration, test, or troubleshooting experience.

• Experience using MATLAB to analyze data

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience testing complex arrays is highly desirable but not required.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret failing test data and navigate schematic diagrams to diagnose fault modes.

• Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of test and analysis.

• Strong working knowledge of RF test equipment.

• Experience preparing and executing factory test procedures.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
