Electrical Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities Production of contract documents including plans and specifications Performs load and voltage drop calculations Develops one line diagrams and control schematics Understands and can review short circuit, protective devices and coordination studies Develops and performs load flow, power study/short circuit coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM Power Tools. Prepares construction and design cost estimates Develops project specific specifications Perform engineering duties in planning and designing electrical systems for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect the electrical installation Candidate Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent Zero (0) to Three (3) years of experience designing industrial electrical systems Experience in water and wastewater treatment electrical systems is a plus Licensed EIT (or ability to obtain) Knowledge of SKM or ETAP Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820 Experience with 480 V and below electrical equipment (MCC and motor controls, transformers, VFDs, etc) and calculations: Conduit fill, voltage drop, transformer sizing, Feeder/conductor sizing, panelboard and breaker sizing Experience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, electrical and instrumentation details Ability to work independently Strong oral and written communication skills Experience with Autocad or Revit is a plus Course work in power engineering Compensation Range $64,848.58 - $74,112.66 Benefits Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) Disability insurance Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment 401(k) Plan Retirement Counseling Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) Paid Holidays (9 days) Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) Continuing Education Program Professional Licensure and Society Memberships STV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
