As a Security Officer - Experience Needed in Northlake, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. This unarmed role offers the chance to deliver strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail distribution location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor entrances, exits, loading and receiving areas, and high-traffic zones to help to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and/or policy violations.
• Support access control, visitor screening, and vehicle or delivery verification processes in accordance with location requirements and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
