Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications for machined parts and weldments.
• Perform accurate and efficient inspections of parts to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Measure dimensions and tolerances, including run-out, concentricity, flatness, and perpendicularity, using precision measuring instruments.
• Utilize tools such as height gauges, micrometers, and dial bore gauges for inspections.
• Inspect incoming materials and purchased parts to ensure conformance with purchase orders and specifications.
• Conduct full inspections of first articles and generate in-process, final inspection, and non-conformance reports as needed.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating effective time management and decision-making skills.
• Collaborate with other departments to support manufacturing processes and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized inspection documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Assist with setup and qualification of machine tool positioning accuracy and repeatability; experience with laser measuring systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience and/or training in a mechanical inspection environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
• Knowledge of both Metric and English measuring systems.
• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is a plus.
• Experience with laser measuring systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
