In-Place Machining Company (IPM) is seeking a proven sales leader and steel industry expert to drive growth across North America. This high-impact role is ideal for someone with deep steel manufacturing knowledge, strong industry relationships, and a passion for developing strategic partnerships that deliver measurable results.

As the commercial leader for the steel vertical, you will help position IPM as the preferred partner for field machining, metrology, and industrial maintenance solutions throughout the steel industry 

Requirements:

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute IPM's growth strategy for the steel industry.
• Identify market trends, outage schedules, capital projects, and emerging opportunities.
• Build relationships with executives, operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement leaders.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic account development and market expansion.
• Create and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned with revenue goals.
• Lead pursuit strategies for large, complex industrial opportunities.
• Partner with engineering, operations, project management, and marketing teams to ensure customer success.
• Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and long-term customer agreements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to major steel producers throughout North America.
• Represent IPM at industry conferences, trade associations, trade shows, and customer events.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• 10+ years of sales, business development, account management, or operational leadership experience within the steel industry.
• Demonstrated success growing revenue and managing large industrial accounts.
• Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing processes, equipment, and facility operations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strategic mindset with strong business and financial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling technical services, engineered solutions, industrial maintenance services, capital equipment, or aftermarket support.
• Experience with field machining, shop machining, metrology, or precision measurement services.
• Understanding of maintenance planning, outage management, reliability programs, and plant operations.

• Travel up to 60%
• Domestic and occasional international travel required
