Molina Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team as a telehealth specialist. This full-time role offers the flexibility of remote work while providing essential mental health support to our client population in Kingsport, Tennessee. The Counseling position aims to enhance the emotional, physical, and mental well-being of our patients through therapeutic interventions, positive role modeling, and professional guidance, with an annual salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000.

This position operates in a telehealth setting, allowing counselors to connect with patients directly from their homes or designated workspaces. • Assist primary care providers in recognizing, treating, and managing mental health and psychosocial issues as a vital member of the primary care team.

• Conduct thorough patient intakes that include diagnostic and functional evaluations, subsequently recommending treatment goals and plans to the primary care provider.

• Provide brief, focused interventions for patients in need of immediate mental health services, ensuring timely support.
\n
• Advise primary care providers on patient referrals to specialized mental health facilities, based on individual needs and treatment efficacy.
\n
• Initiate follow-up communications with patients to monitor their progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Develop relapse prevention plans when appropriate and support patients in maintaining stable functioning.
\n
• Identify at-risk patients and collaborate on preventative strategies to ensure their well-being.
\n
• Coordinate health services related to behavioral health care, integrating care with other providers both within and outside the clinic, subject to the patient's consent.

• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records, ensuring that all interactions and treatment plans are recorded in compliance with agency standards.

• Provide patients with education and resources to empower them in their self-management and recovery processes.
\n
• Consult with clinic management and team members regarding behavioral services and contribute valuable insights for program evaluation.

• Exercise rigorous ethical standards as outlined in the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and perform additional duties as assigned.

The Licensed Professional Counselor at Molina Healthcare & Wellness Center will work closely with a varied demographic that includes individuals facing mental health challenges, emotional disturbances, and psychosocial concerns. • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling.

• Possession of a current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Tennessee.

• Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapeutic methodologies.

• Robust understanding of both developmental psychopathology and systems approaches in treating families and groups.

• Capacity to utilize DSM-IV diagnoses effectively in treatment planning and execution.

• Experience in crisis intervention and brief therapeutic interventions.

• Commitment to maintaining mental and physical health sufficient to meet job requirements.

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory, enhancing communication with diverse patient groups.
