CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

Hours are 8am-4:30pm.


JOB SUMMARY :

Individual is responsible for processing orders and taking incoming telephone calls from our customer.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required:

• Process new PO's.
• Answer general end-user and dealer questions such as: Product information, Price and availability, Technical assistance, Product Complaint, Repair procedure/address, Repair status request.
• Answer customer questions and assist with finding the correct product needed for their application.
• Interact with sales P&IC, Accounting, Engineering, and Shipping Departments on a daily basis to satisfy our customers' needs.
• Provide RA numbers to customers returning product for credit.
• Coordinate DL/S papers.
• Track packages or give tracking numbers.
• Assist walk-in customers.
• Other duties as required.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Employee works under general supervision.
• Employee has little or no decision-making responsibility.
• The employee has little or no impact on the decisions of others.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• None.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Previous customer service experience is a plus.
• Comfortable speaking on the phone with customers.

• Position requires employee to utilize and understand simple formatting and use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree is desired.
• 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or office environment.

• Basic, introductory on-the-job training.

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Prolonged period of being on the telephone.

• Work requires some degree of visual effort for periods of time.

Work Environment and Hazards

• Some areas of the building are not climate controlled.
• Working environment is typical of an office setting.
• Absence of hazards.
• Occasional travel to trade shows when possible.
