Paint Technician

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Paint Technician in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton, NY within the Machining Industry. This position is responsible for various paint preparation processes.

Job Summary
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
1st shift / 6am - 2:30pm


Paint Technician Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the masking/taping of product prior to the finishing process.
• Apply tape, protective paper, and plug in holes of parts that should remain free of paint.
• Remove masking materials from painted parts after the finishing process.
• Sand metal parts to remove imperfections and prepare surfaces for painting.
• The position is geared towards developing skill sets to be a manufacturing painter.
• Learn Powder and/or liquid Painting techniques under supervision.
• Perform quality inspections of products being prepared.
• Maintain inventory of masking materials, including tape, plugs, and protective paper.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Paint Technician Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to read specific directions related to the product mix
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to work around chemicals and sand products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a desire to learn and advance into a Manufacturing Painter role.
