Description

We are hiring for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage payroll administration, benefits processing, HRIS maintenance, and employee data integrity for a workforce of 300+ employees. This role serves as a subject matter expert for payroll, benefits, and HR systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, operational efficiency, and exceptional employee support.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, advanced HRIS knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls accurately and on schedule.
• Enter payroll data, adjustments, incentive payments, commissions, and other variable compensation.
• Coordinate timesheet approvals and reconcile payroll information prior to processing.
• Audit payroll records and identify discrepancies before final submission.
• Reconcile quarterly and annual tax filings and coordinate reporting with accounting and tax partners.
• Benefits Administration
• Manage employee benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
• Process benefit deductions and reconcile monthly benefit invoices.
• Coordinate with benefit vendors regarding enrollments, eligibility, and coverage updates.
• Maintain employee records, organizational hierarchies, security access, and HRIS data integrity.
• Perform regular audits of payroll, HRIS, and time management systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience with Paylocity strongly preferred.

- Experience with comparable HRIS platforms such as Paycom or UKG/UltiPro.

- Payroll certification and/or extensive payroll training preferred.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and reporting functions.

- Experience supporting benefits administration and vendor relationships.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
