Design Engineer – Construction Industry
Are you a detail-oriented and innovative Design Engineer with a passion for construction design? Our growing team in Tracy, CA, is looking for a motivated professional to design and develop engineering solutions for exciting construction projects. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve product challenges using systematic problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
- Apply strength of materials and linear static analysis to validate and support design decisions.
- Analyze and optimize current processes and procedures, driving standardization and efficiency.
- Lead and manage engineering projects, providing guidance to team members.
- Interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) and other CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Creo (preferred).
- Knowledge of construction industry practices in a manufacturing or design environment.
- Familiarity with engineering change processes and product lifecycle management.
- Acute attention to detail with a focus on quality and error prevention.
- Ability to manage and track project timelines using project management tools.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
- 1+ years of experience using AutoCAD (required).
- Experience in construction design or related fields (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting Salary: $70,000 annually for candidates with a bachelor's degree and 1 year of AutoCAD experience.
- Up to $85,000 annually for candidates with additional experience and qualifications.
