With continued growth in O&M services, the company is seeking an entrepreneurial sales leader to expand its national platform.

About the Position

The Sales Director – O&M Business Development will lead national business development across MUSH and C&I markets , identifying, developing, and closing new O&M opportunities ranging from municipal systems to campus-wide service portfolios.

The role will build a strong pipeline around site care, energy efficiency, reliability, and performance-based O&M solutions , while developing relationships with C-suite executives, facilities leaders, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders.

The Sales Director will collaborate with engineering, finance, marketing, and operations to develop customized solutions, financial models, ROI analyses, proposals, and innovative financing structures such as P3, revenue bonds, and Energy-as-a-Service .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute national O&M growth strategies across MUSH and C&I markets.
• Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with executives, facilities directors, procurement teams, and other decision-makers.
• Lead RFPs, proposals, presentations, negotiations, and contract development.
• Develop financial models, ROI analyses, and customer business cases.
• Partner with technical and operational teams to structure customized O&M solutions.
• Identify expansion and recurring-revenue opportunities within existing accounts.
• Lead cross-functional pursuit teams and promote best practices in business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, HVAC, or related field .
• 7+ years of consultative sales or business development experience , preferably in O&M, water/wastewater, energy, infrastructure, facilities, or related services.
• Proven success developing markets and selling complex, long-term service solutions.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Understanding of municipal and institutional procurement, including RFPs, service contracts, and P3 structures .
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to sell into complex organizations with multiple decision-makers.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and strategic mindset.
• Ability to qualify opportunities based on strategic value and ROI.
• Willingness to travel 25%–50% , including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
