Assignment Details

• Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Las Vegas, NM
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: 40 Hours per Week
• Shift: Evenings, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Openings: 3

Unit Information

The facility's psychiatric department is divided into two specialized areas:

• Forensic Division
• Adult Psychiatric Unit

Nurses will perform standard psychiatric nursing responsibilities, including:

• Patient assessments and monitoring
• Medication administration
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation
• Treatment plan implementation
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Therapeutic communication and patient support
• Maintaining a safe treatment environment

Compensation

Travel RN Package

• Estimated Weekly Package: Up to $2,326/week
• Taxable Rate: $27/hour
• Weekly Meals Stipend: $476
• Weekly Housing Stipend: $770
• Overtime: 1.5x

Local RN Rate

• $50/hour
• Overtime: 1.5x

Rates and stipends are subject to eligibility and may vary based on individual circumstances.

• Active RN License (NM or compact)
• BLS Certification

Preferred Experience

• Psychiatric Nursing Experience
• Corrections Nursing Experience

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
