Bin RunnerThe mission of Hope the Mission is to prevent, reduce and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness by offering immediate assistance and long-term solutions.For people experiencing homelessness, personal belongings mean more than most people realize. A document, a photo, a change of clothes — these items are tied to a person's identity, history, and sense of dignity. The Bin Runner helps participants at Hope the Mission's Access & Engagement Center's to access, store, and get back their belongings in a way that is dependable, respectful, and dignified.This position is responsible for managing the storage area, giving participants access to their assigned bins, processing personal property collected through street cleaning operations, and transporting participants to and from the Access & Engagement Site and other locations as needed. The Bin Runner works directly with people experiencing homelessness throughout every shift — and how those interactions go matters.This role requires someone who shows up consistently, stays calm and professional, holds a valid California driver's license, and genuinely respects the people being served. The work is physical, requires good organizational skills, and involves real human connection.
