About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including assisting academic departments with curriculum and program initiatives, coordinating workforce development strategies, and working closely with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. The role also involves facilitating various academic processes such as departmental reviews, program accreditation, and external reviews. The Assistant Vice President will be expected to collaborate with faculty and administration on accessible course design, monitor academic regulatory compliance initiatives, and support the implementation of academic momentum initiatives. Applicants for the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs position at the company should have a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years' professional experience in a post-secondary academic setting. An earned Doctorate and experience in curriculum development, academic assessment, and supervisory roles are preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be adept at working with diverse populations, and demonstrate a commitment to the values of equity, inclusion, and dignity. Responsibilities also include supporting the development of assessment plans, monitoring progress on departmental goals, and overseeing the implementation of general education requirement approvals. The role requires a creative and caring individual who can contribute to the company's mission of providing educational access and fostering lifelong learning.
