Job Title Float Pool M/S Tele RN (Must be willing to float to 8 different units). Days/Eves/Nights Rotate & EOW - 36hrs. Responsibilities Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips & reading telemetry strips. Unit Information Unit Name: Float Pool RN (must be willing to float between 8 different units). Brief Unit Description: Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Tele areas (Davenport 5, Davenport 7, Davenport 8, Davenport 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, & Overflow). Experience Required: 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location and 2 years working as a traveler. Skill Sets Required: Telemetry monitoring including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours. TR Band experience. Must be able to perform cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips. Clinician to Patient Ratio: Days & Eves up to 5:1. Nights up to 6:1. Patient Population: Care for ED border patients; medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. Bed Count: 371. Census: Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation Requirements: Days/Eves Rotate with 1 to 3 rotations to Nights per contract. EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
