Manufacturing Applications Engineer (CNC Programming & Automation) Type: Full-Time Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000+ (based on experience) Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Applications Engineer to bridge the gap between CNC programming, engineering, and manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong machining fundamentals with advanced programming and automation capabilities. You’ll play a key role in improving efficiency, standardizing processes, and driving automation across CNC operations—helping reduce operator dependency while increasing throughput and quality. What You’ll Do: Core Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for production environments Interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and blueprints Select tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining strategies Design and improve fixturing and manufacturing processes Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the floor Collaborate with operators, engineers, and quality teams Automation & Advanced Programming Create parametric CNC programs using macros (e.g., Fanuc Macro B or similar) Implement variables, conditionals, loops, and logic-based programming Develop reusable templates and standardized program structures Automate probing, tool setting, and in-process adjustments Build safeguards to reduce operator input and increase consistency What You Bring: Technical Skills Deep understanding of CNC machining fundamentals Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX, or similar) Strong knowledge of tooling, materials, tolerances, and fixturing Ability to read and interpret complex part drawings Experience with multi‑axis machining preferred Advanced / Preferred Macro programming experience (Fanuc or equivalent) Strong problem‑solving and process improvement mindset Background in high‑mix or complex manufacturing environments Exposure to process engineering or manufacturing engineering Background Options: We’re open to candidates from multiple paths, including: CNC Programmers looking to move into engineering/automation Senior Machinists with strong programming experience Manufacturing or CNC Engineers with hands‑on shop floor knowledge Why This Role: Opportunity to drive real impact in manufacturing efficiency and automation Blend of hands‑on work and high‑level engineering High visibility across operations, engineering, and leadership Clear path to senior engineering or automation leadership roles Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary: $90K – $110K+ Performance‑based incentives (if applicable) Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) Apply Today If you’re a CNC expert ready to step into a more strategic, automation‑focused role—or already operating at that level we want to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Solutions Services, LLC
