Machine Operator: Saw/Slitter Operator Job Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, loading, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to meet production goals while maintaining product quality.* Key Responsibilities *- Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures.

• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist maintenance personnel with repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output and quality data.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve daily production targets.
• Flexibly rotate between different machine stations and equipment types to support daily manufacturing goals.
• Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, security, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications - High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous experience operating production equipment is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and safety documents.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Education/Experience: - Technical experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Prior experience operating a large saw, slitter, or other similar machine.
• Communicate clearly and fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Able to work in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Work Environment - Production facility.

• May require overtime, weekends, or shift work based on production demands.
• Exposure to machinery, moving equipment, and industrial materials while following established safety procedures.
