FLOAT CLINIC PT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVE

Job Title

This position is responsible for representing the organization in a courteous and efficient manner by demonstrating professional conduct and a positive attitude. This position will maintain patient account information, schedule patient appointments, collect co-pays, process mail, and maintain reception area. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Coporate Services. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement goals.

Job Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED:

Two years in a physician office setting

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

N/A

Pay Status:

NON-EXEMPT HOURLY

Position Duties

Educational:

Medical Terminology within one year of hire if no previous experience in a healthcare setting.

Departmental:

Demonstrates competence in the performance of tasks, skills, duties and responsibilities related to the provision of department services

Demonstrates the abilities to perform all miscellaneous duties, tasks, and skills related to reception when indicated.

Demonstrates basic release of information rules including validation of all pertinent information for receiving party and obtains further assistance when necessary.

Demonstrates knowledge of filing insurance claims for patients covered under Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and also those HMO groups that the physician's office participates.

Works professionally and successfully with team members inside and outside of the organization displaying core values of the organization.

Demonstrates knowledge of corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

Applies independent judgment to specific problems, i.e., release of information, phone numbers, etc.

Maintains a professional and clean environment which includes ordering supplies, stocking rooms, and routine cleaning.

Displays a professional and positive attitude toward all aspects of employment, including but not limited to: willingness to assist others, good communication, and adjusting schedules as needed to cover department needs.

Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently use equipment in the provision of department services
