Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Float)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit while providing leadership within the nursing team
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients served through the model of Shared Governance
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
• Float to support ER hold, overflow units, adult and geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; stepdown experience is required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing; license must be in-hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS required at time of submission
• Nursys verification required with submission
• This position is designated safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical care experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• BSN preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
