In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, patients, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local law enforcement, fire, and/or medical personnel when needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property, parking areas, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or visitor authorization as required, while documenting security-related incidents, observations, and daily activity reports. Carry assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policy, post orders, and applicable laws, while using sound judgment and de‑escalation techniques during security-related interactions. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
