Radiology Technologist

Job Description

The Radiology Technologist will play a vital role in producing high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. This position requires a dedicated professional with strong technical skills and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring quality imaging according to established protocols.
Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations related to radiology.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures to protect patients and staff.
Maintain mobile and stationary radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment and assist with inspections and maintenance.
Collaborate effectively with medical staff to deliver optimal patient care.
Document procedures accurately in accordance with departmental policies.

Qualifications

Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by state regulations.
Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from AHA.
At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.
Proficient computer skills.
One year of acute clinical radiology experience is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
Graduate from a program accredited by JRCERT.

Health and Safety Requirements

Successful completion of a COVID-19 vaccination series.
Documentation of MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, and Varicella vaccinations.
Annual TB questionnaire and a fit test.
Physical health statement and any necessary follow-up tests.

Additional Requirements

Driver's License or State ID.
Criminal background check and necessary credential verifications.
Completion of skills checklist and core competencies exam as part of onboarding.
