Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Vermont

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts; 36-hour guarantee

Job Description: The Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse combines medical-surgical nursing with intensive rehabilitation to focus on patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury. The goal is to restore function and independence through various therapies while providing specialized medical and nursing care.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• May act as a backup Charge Nurse.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2 years recent Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation experience.
• Charge Nurse experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) is strongly preferred.
• Active RN license in New Hampshire or Compact.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Candidates must have their own vehicle, as public transport is not available.
